ਕਬੀਰ ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਰੰਕੁ ਨ ਹਸੀਐ ਕੋਇ ॥ kabeer garab na keejiyae ra(n)k na hasiyae koi || ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! (ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦਾ ਭੀ) ਮਾਣ ਨਾਹ ਕਰੀਂ, ਨਾਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਨੂੰ (ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਠੱਠਾ-ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਕਰੀਂ । Kabeer, do not be so proud, and do not laugh at the poor. ਅਜਹੁ ਸੁ ਨਾਉ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਮਹਿ ਕਿਆ ਜਾਨਉ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥੩੯॥ ajahu su naau samu(n)dhr meh kiaa jaanau kiaa hoi ।।39।। ਬੇੜੀ ਅਜੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ (ਇਹ ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਜਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਚਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ) ।੩੯। Your boat is still out at sea; who knows what will happen? ।।39।। ਕਬੀਰ ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਦੇਹੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਸੁਰੰਗ ॥ kabeer garab na keejeeaai dhehee dhekh sura(n)

ਕਬੀਰ ਜਿਹ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਗਏ ਪਾਛੈ ਪਰੀ ਬਹੀਰ ॥ kabeer jeh maarag pa(n)ddit gye paachhai paree baheer || ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਜਿਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ,ਬੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ; Kabeer, the crowds follow the path which the Pandits, the religious scholars, have taken. ਇਕ ਅਵਘਟ ਘਾਟੀ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਤਿਹ ਚੜਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਕਬੀਰ ॥੧੬੫॥ eik avaghaT ghaaTee raam kee teh chaR rahio kabeer ।।165।। ਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਇਕ ਔਖਾ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਰਸਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਬੀਰ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੈਂਡਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।੧੬੫। There is a difficult and treacherous cliff on that path to the Lord; Kabeer is climbing that cliff. ।।165।। Bhagat Kabeer Ji
