🔥 We present one of the articles from the new issue of the journal "Mining Science and Technology" (No. 2, 2026)! Acoustic methods for predicting gasogeodynamic phenomena are used in coal mines. One of the parameters is the acoustic attenuation coefficient in the coal-rock mass. However, its determination under mine conditions is complicated by interference between longitudinal and shear waves and their reflections from the seam boundaries.
